  • Major Expansion (2025-2028):
    Tuticorin Airport is under a ₹381-crore expansion. The new terminal (17,340 sq. m) will handle 20 lakh passengers annually and accommodate A-321 type aircraft, turning it into a major hub in southern Tamil Nadu.

    A new integrated terminal building (75,000 sq.m)—nearly four times larger than the current 18,000 sq.m facility—will be built near Neelambur

    The runway will be extended from 2,990 meters to 3,800 meters to allow wide-body aircraft. The new terminal will increase capacity to over 10-15 million passengers annually.
